Description Of Work:
They refinished my hardwood floors. My only complaint is that in one area where there was a gap, they filled the gap but it has reopened again already. This in in flooring that they installed about 13 years ago. I understand that wood "breathes" but it is bothersome. I would use them again though, they are professional, fast and clean.

Description Of Work:
Sanded and refinished hardwood floors in my kitchen and great room. Fantastic job! Dust was kept to a minimum and they were very neat. They had taken pictures before they moved the furniture so they put it back exactly where it was. Those 2 rooms flowed into other rooms which I did not need to refinish; they did a great job in matching the color and finding the right spots to start and stop so that the difference between newly sanded and stained surface and the old surface is virtually undetectable. Very professional!

Description of Work: Installed hardwood floor in three bedrooms

Approximate Cost: $11,000.00

Customer Comments: Very well. This is a very professional operation. Two hours before the installation crew was due to arrive, the supplier delivered the materials. When the crew arrived (on-time) they worked like Trojans

over several days to install the flooring. They carefully moved furniture aside and then moved it back room-by-room. They removed all the old carpet and materials and clean up after completing each room. After pulling the carpet for one of the bedrooms, they discovered that the sub floor was warped. They replaced the warped sections of sub floor at a reasonable price. When the workmen pulled the sub floor to our second story bedroom leaving the floor joists exposed, one of the workmen stepped through the joists and broke the ceiling to the floor below. Without any argument, they accepted responsibility and within three days repaired the damage, This is a very professional operation.

Description of work: Installed Maple hardwood in 3 rooms of our home

Customer Comments:  We had many quotes and Mike Pillar was certainly not the lowest, but

we'd read great things from Angie's list. We couldn't be happier. From the beginning Wendy (the sales lady) was very patient with showing us everythingshe thought appropiate to our tastes. After many samples back and forth to our home , we were finally ready. Mike came to the house, measured everything, and took special notice of kitchen/bathroom transition plus a weird fitting french door we had just installed. Our specific flooring was on black order so we had to wait 4 weeks for it to come in, which it did right on time. For the install, day one was carpet removal, grinding old tar off the concrete and floor leveling. Everything was covered and a few heavy objects were moved to the garage, Days two and three were actually laying the wood. The crew answered my many questions and took special care to make the room transitions flush, as opposed to putting in those wood risers that people trip over. The areas around the french doors really look great.

A couple days later we noticed an unforeseen problem and the next day they were back and fixed it in a jiffy. No problem found since. I installed the baseboards myself so I can't comment on what type of job they do on those, Compliments keep pouring in from our friends and neighbors so we won't hesitate to recommend them in the future.
